Who processes your data

BREITNER, based in Noord-Holland, is responsible for the processing. You can reach us at info@breitnerbouw.nl and 06 40 88 66 58.

Which data and why

• If you use the contact form: your name, email address, phone number, the stage you are at and what you write to us. We use that to answer your question and make an appointment.
• If we prepare a quote: the address of the home, details about the building, photos and measurements of the rooms, and what you want done. We need that in order to calculate.
• If we carry out the work: the same data, plus what is needed for the planning, for suppliers and for permits.
• For our records: invoicing and payment details. We have to keep those for the tax authorities.

On what legal basis

• To perform the agreement, or to take steps at your request before there is an agreement. That covers the quote and the work.
• To comply with a legal obligation. That covers our records and the retention period that goes with them.
• Our legitimate interest in responding to questions and in being able to demonstrate our work.
• With your consent. We only ask for that in order to publish photos of your home.

Photos of your home

We photograph our work. The project pages only show photos you have given permission for. We never mention your address and never your name, only the town. If you later want the photos gone, you simply withdraw that permission. A message is enough and we take them down.

Who else sees your data

• Formspree processes the messages you send through the contact form and forwards them to us. That is a United States company, so your message travels outside the European Economic Area. If you would rather it did not, email or call us directly.
• GitHub Pages hosts this website. When a page is requested, that service records technical data such as your IP address. That happens on every visit to every website and we cannot access it.
• Our bookkeeper sees the invoicing details, because that is needed for our records and tax returns.
• Suppliers and tradespeople working on your project only get what they need. Usually that is the address and the appointment, no more.

Beyond that we sell nothing on and pass nothing to third parties, unless the law obliges us to.

Cookies and measurement

This site sets no cookies and uses no visitor statistics, advertising pixels or other trackers. Fonts, photos and the map are on our own server. So nothing is fetched from another party when a page loads. That is also why you see no cookie banner here.

How long we keep it

• Invoices and records: seven years, because tax law requires it.
• The file for a completed project: for as long as the warranty runs and liability may arise, so that we can still assess a report.
• Quotes that did not lead to an assignment: two years, after which we delete them.
• Contact form messages that lead to nothing: one year.

Your rights

You may ask us which data we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted or have its use restricted. You may object to the processing and you may receive your data in a common file format. If you have given consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Email your request to info@breitnerbouw.nl. We respond within a month. If you cannot resolve it with us, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Security

The site runs over a secure connection. Access to our email and records is protected and limited to the people who need it. If something goes wrong with your data despite all this, we let you know.

Changes

This is version August 2026. If anything changes in how we handle data, we update this page.
